Jilin City is building a complete carbon fiber industry chain ecosystem, and its market share in wind power carbon panels is leading.

In recent years, Jilin City has leveraged its industrial foundation to vigorously promote the coordinated development of the entire carbon fiber industry chain. It has established a world-leading wind turbine carbon plate production base, forming a complete industrial layout from precursor fiber and carbonization to composite products, injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of the regional economy.

According to the head of a leading local enterprise, the base currently has 230 wind turbine carbon plate production lines, operating at full capacity year-round, with an annual production capacity of up to 50,000 tons. In the domestic market, 95 out of every 100 wind turbine blades use the main beam carbon plates produced at this base, maintaining its leading market share. Through joint research on the "Large-scale Manufacturing of Large-Tow Carbon Fiber and Composite Materials" project, the company has achieved customized production across the entire chain, with a carbon fiber self-use rate of 50% and a precursor fiber self-use rate as high as 91%, effectively reducing production costs. In addition to the wind power sector, the company's carbon fiber composite materials have a market share exceeding 50% in the field of UAV structural components, providing reliable support for low-altitude logistics and emergency rescue scenarios; their application in automotive lightweighting also helps improve the driving range of new energy vehicles, promoting the green transformation of the transportation sector.

Industry insiders point out that Jilin City has already formed a significant industrial agglomeration effect by leveraging its advantages in the entire industrial chain. In the future, with the influx of more upstream and downstream enterprises, the industrial ecosystem will be further improved, industrial competitiveness enhanced, and Jilin City will be helped to become a major carbon fiber industry hub in China and even globally.
